CME Group Plans to Launch Options on XRP Futures.
A derivatives marketplace, CME Group, declared on October 13, 2025, that they were going to launch XRP and Solana (SOL) futures options.
This follows the heavy demand for its XRP futures when it was launched in May 2025. The new contracts will be standard and micro-size contracts with daily, monthly, and quarterly expiries.
The XRP futures have traded over 370,000 contracts with a volume of up to $16.2 billion. CME’s Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products Giovanni Vicioso highlighted the “significant growth and increasing liquidity” driving the expansion.
