Key Features of StableNet
- •Korea’s first Layer 1 blockchain designed exclusively for stablecoins, optimized for financial services.
- •Strengthened compliance and security infrastructure, featuring built-in KYC, AML, and fraud detection systems.
- •Accelerating partnerships to build ‘Oracle’ systems connecting blockchain with real-world data such as exchange rates, interest rates, and oil prices.
WEMADE (CEO: Kwan-ho Park) has released the source code of StableNet, Korea’s first Layer 1 blockchain mainnet dedicated to KRW-based stablecoins, on the global development platform GitHub.
StableNet is the finalized Brand Identity (B.I.) of the stablecoin-dedicated Layer 1 blockchain mainnet that was unveiled during WEMADE’s ‘PROJECT STABLE ONE’ event in September.
Built to support the issuance and operation of KRW stablecoins, StableNet offers specialized features that enable enterprises to integrate and utilize stablecoin technology more efficiently.
Enhanced Security and Compliance
WEMADE is reinforcing StableNet’s regulatory and security capabilities by embedding core compliance infrastructure directly into the network. This includes essential features such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing, and a Fraud Detection System (FDS).
Strategic Partnerships for Real-World Data Integration
In addition to continuous technical enhancements, WEMADE is also advancing partnerships with major domestic and global technology firms. The objective of these collaborations is to implement ‘Oracle’ systems that effectively link blockchain technology with key financial data. This data includes crucial real-world information such as exchange rates, interest rates, and oil prices.
Vision for Global K-Finance
A WEMADE official commented on the release, stating, “The open release of StableNet’s source code reflects our commitment to advancing blockchain technology adoption. We aim to establish a stablecoin infrastructure that aligns with global financial regulations and, through strategic partnerships, pioneer a new paradigm in the stablecoin industry — the globalization of K-finance.”
