A new dataset from BitcoinTreasuries.net reveals that the world’s top 100 publicly traded companies collectively hold 1,059,453 BTC, marking one of the largest concentrations of corporate Bitcoin ownership ever recorded.
The list highlights the accelerating institutional shift toward Bitcoin as a long-term treasury asset, with several companies now treating BTC as a core balance-sheet strategy rather than an experimental allocation.
Strategy Leads With 650,000 BTC
At the top of the list is Strategy, holding a massive 650,000 BTC, by far the largest corporate treasury position globally. This single allocation accounts for more than 60% of all Bitcoin held by the top 100 public firms, illustrating how aggressively the company has leaned into its BTC-focused accumulation model.
The next largest holders include:

- •XXI (43,534 BTC)
- •Metaplanet (38,213 BTC)
- •Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company (34,024 BTC)
Collectively, the top five companies alone manage nearly 820,000 BTC.
Growing Participation Across Mining, Tech, and Fintech
The list also highlights a strong presence from Bitcoin mining firms and digital asset infrastructure companies. MARA, Riot, Hut 8, CleanSpark, Bitdeer, Cipher Mining, and Bitfarms all rank prominently as they continue directing a portion of mined BTC toward long-term reserves.
Tech and fintech companies, including Coinbase, Block, and Galaxy Digital, also maintain sizable holdings, signaling broadening adoption across multiple sectors.
Companies such as Tesla (11,549 BTC) and Block (9,780 BTC) remain among the most well-known corporate holders, though they are now overshadowed by newer, more aggressive accumulators.
Smaller Public Firms Are Quietly Stacking BTC
The tail end of the list shows a wide distribution of holdings among companies with 120–500 BTC each, including:

Total Public Corporate Holdings Exceed 1.06 Million BTC
When including all public companies globally (beyond just the top 100), total corporate holdings reach 1,062,021 BTC, underscoring the scale of institutional adoption underway.
This trend reflects a broader shift in how companies view Bitcoin: from a speculative asset to a strategic treasury reserve, a hedge against fiat debasement, and a long-term monetary asset with global liquidity.
As more firms add BTC to their balance sheets, and others prepare to follow, institutional ownership looks set to become an increasingly powerful force in Bitcoin’s market structure.
