Initiative to Promote Digital Asset Literacy in Laos
Tether and Bitqik have officially launched a significant initiative aimed at enhancing digital asset literacy across Laos. This collaboration is specifically designed to educate local communities, students, and entrepreneurs about the fundamentals of Bitcoin and stablecoins, with a particular emphasis on USD₮.
The program intends to address existing knowledge gaps in Laos, thereby enabling a larger number of users to understand and leverage the advantages offered by blockchain technology. Both Tether and Bitqik have outlined a clear plan to engage over 10,000 individuals through a combination of online educational modules and in-person events.
Key urban centers, including Vientiane, Pakse, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang, will serve as primary locations for these educational activities. Bitqik will be responsible for developing learning materials that are easily understandable for a diverse audience. Seminars and roadshows are scheduled to be conducted on a quarterly basis.
Beyond familiarizing participants with the usage of stablecoins like USD₮, these events will also serve to illustrate the broader functionality of blockchain technology. This educational approach aims to equip individuals with the knowledge for the secure utilization of digital assets and to build confidence in USD₮ as a reliable method for digital financial transactions.
