Samsung has expanded its collaboration with Coinbase to let Galaxy smartphone users in the U.S. buy cryptocurrency directly from the Samsung Wallet app. This integration, first announced in July, now makes Samsung Pay a payment option for Coinbase customers. The rollout could reach more than 75 million Galaxy owners, with international expansion planned in the near future.

Samsung Wallet has already become a central hub for payments, IDs, car keys, and membership cards. In Q2, Coinbase reported just 3 % revenue growth—its slowest pace in years—while Kraken surged 18 % and Robinhood nearly doubled its crypto revenue. Access to Samsung’s user base could help Coinbase catch up in the U.S. retail market.
Added Benefits for Galaxy Owners
Along with the integration, Samsung is offering limited-time access to Coinbase One. This subscription service waives certain trading fees and boosts staking rewards, giving Galaxy users incentives to try Coinbase without friction.
The feature will gradually roll out to select Coinbase users in the U.S. and Canada over the next month, with broad availability expected soon.

Samsung Wallet isn’t just about convenience; it’s designed with layered security.
