Revolut, a growing London-based fintech platform, has partnered with Trust Wallet, a popular self-custody crypto wallet. According to a press release, this partnership allows users in the European Union to buy cryptocurrencies easily and instantly.
User Control Over Assets
Users can make purchases using RevolutPay, debit and credit cards, or traditional bank transfers, with no fees in some cases. This update gives EU users a faster, safer, and more affordable way to purchase digital currencies.
One main advantage of this partnership is that users can send the crypto they buy directly to their Trust Wallet. This means they have complete control and ownership of their assets right after the purchase. This change meets the growing need for self-custody options.
The partnership currently supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), USD Coin (USDC), and Tether (USDT). Both companies plan to add more cryptocurrencies in the future.
For Revolut, this integration helps it become a top crypto-friendly financial app in Europe. For Trust Wallet, it is an important step toward linking traditional payment systems with self-custody tools in a decentralized way.
MoonPay Leverages Revolut Pay for Easier Digital Payments
MoonPay also partnered with Revolut Pay to simplify crypto payments for UK and European Economic Area (EEA) users. The integration enables users to buy and trade cryptocurrency quickly without needing to enter their card or wallet details.
The MoonPay platform enables businesses and users to switch between traditional fiat currency and cryptocurrencies seamlessly. It offers simple tools that help people buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on-ramps and off-ramps. Users can pay using familiar methods, such as credit cards and bank transfers.
Currently, the MoonPay-Revolut Pay integration is only available to users in the UK and EEA. The service is accessible to users in countries like France, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
Revolut Pay Expands Amidst Growing Crypto Demand
Revolut Pay, launched in 2022, offers one-click payments to simplify checkouts for users and merchants. Revolut Pay is live in major markets including the UK, EEA, the United States, and India.
The platform currently serves more than 60 million users worldwide, with 9 million being active crypto users. Its new partnership with Trust Wallet comes as the company completed its share sale at a valuation of $75 billion, led by prominent investors. This suggests that the company is preparing for even more growth, with crypto being a significant part of that plan.
