Proof of Play has launched its New Year's Brawl event on the Abstract blockchain. This competition features Pirate Nation and aims to draw players into a gaming contest where high scores unlock cash prizes.
Proof of Play developed the game as a sea-faring arcade adventure, and now competitors are vying for leaderboard spots to earn shares of the $16,700 main prize pool.
Additional Rewards and Meme Coin Integration
Bonus rewards are being distributed from community donations. These include tokens such as $ABSTER and $RETSBA, which represent characters from the Pudgy Penguins universe. The Abstract team created Abster as a green penguin mascot, and Retsba plays the role of the main antagonist within that ecosystem.
Winners will receive portions of 101,000 $ABSTER tokens, valued at approximately $524, or 1,514,721 $RETSBA tokens, worth about $545. This integration adds a meme coin element to the competition.

NFT prizes are also being offered, elevating the stakes further with items from various top-tier collections available to winners.
Two unrevealed Bearish NFTs, each currently holding a floor price of $287, are appealing to collectors in the crypto space. Twenty Gigaverse Gigling NFTs, priced at $12.90 each, bring pixelated charm to the prize pool.
