Ondo Finance, a prominent platform for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), has announced a significant strategic partnership with Chainlink, the industry-standard oracle network. This collaboration designates Chainlink as the official data provider for Ondo’s tokenized stocks and ETFs. Furthermore, it establishes Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as the preferred solution for connecting traditional financial institutions across various blockchains.
Chainlink Joins Ondo Global Market Alliance
As part of this strategic alliance, Chainlink has also become a member of the Ondo Global Market Alliance. This inclusion aims to bolster the expansion of tokenized stocks on the blockchain. The Ondo Global Markets platform currently features a diverse portfolio of over 100 tokenized assets, representing a total value locked (TVL) exceeding $300 million.
Enhancing Data Accuracy and Cross-Chain Functionality
By leveraging Chainlink’s robust and dependable data feeds, Ondo’s tokenized equities will benefit from accurate, real-time pricing information. This integration will also ensure the seamless delivery of comprehensive corporate action data, such as dividend payouts, across all supported blockchains. This enhancement is crucial for maintaining the integrity and usability of tokenized financial instruments.
Bridging Traditional Finance and Decentralized Markets
The partnership is designed to facilitate the on-chain migration of assets and operations for major financial institutions. These institutions will utilize Ondo’s advanced tokenization technology, while simultaneously adopting CCIP for efficient and secure cross-chain transactions. Ondo's participation in Chainlink’s corporate actions initiative places it alongside other leading industry players, including Swift, DTCC, and Euroclear, underscoring the growing institutional interest in blockchain solutions.
