India Blockchain Week (IBW) Conference, the 2-day headline conference anchoring the India Blockchain Week series of 100+ Web3 events in Bengaluru, has concluded its 2025 edition, highlighting India’s growing prominence as a global Web3 innovation hub. Despite facing challenges such as high taxation and the absence of a clear legal framework, India has maintained its position as the leading country for crypto adoption for three consecutive years, boasting 115 million users.
The IBW2025 Conference, held at the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center from December 2-3, attracted over 3500 attendees from more than 40 countries. The event brought together Web3 builders, investors, legal professionals, and other key stakeholders to discuss the future of blockchain, artificial intelligence, real-world assets (RWAs), and regulatory developments.
Throughout the week, more than 80 side events, workshops, and social gatherings were organized by Indian and international blockchain industry players. These events provided attendees with valuable opportunities for networking, idea exchange, partnership formation, product exploration, and community engagement.
India Web3 Landscape Report Highlights
Hashed Emergent, the organizers of the IBW2025 Conference, released its 4th annual India Web3 Landscape Report during the main event. This report, developed in collaboration with knowledge partners CoinSwitch, DevFolio, Pi42, Jetking, Growth Protocol, and TriLegal, offers insights into the Indian Web3 startup ecosystem, investment trends, adoption rates, the developer landscape, and policy and regulatory environments. Key findings from the report include:
- •Indian Web3 startups attracted $653 million in funding during the first ten months of 2025, marking a 16% increase compared to the $564 million raised in the full year of 2024.
- •India is currently home to over 1250 Web3 startups operating in sectors such as finance, infrastructure, and entertainment. These companies have collectively raised $3.5 billion to date, demonstrating the significant depth of builders across various sub-sectors.
- •India solidified its position as a Web3 hub in 2025, ranking first in blockchain adoption for the third consecutive year and securing the second-largest developer market globally. Builders are actively pushing innovation boundaries in areas like AI, DePIN, L1/L2s, RWAs, and stablecoins.
- •Centralized exchanges experienced a marked acceleration in activity in 2025, with spot volumes for blue-chip crypto tokens rising by 114% and a 27% increase in new traders.
- •Young investors aged 18–35 now constitute approximately 75% of active users and contribute half of the total trading volumes. While metropolitan areas still account for 64% of invested value, with Delhi alone contributing nearly one-fifth, increasing accessibility is steadily drawing tier-2 cities further into the market.
- •In 2025, the growth rate of women traders was nearly double that of men across Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 cities, indicating a broadening and more inclusive investor base.
- •Global Web3 investors continue to demonstrate strong confidence in India's potential, supported by ecosystem funds, although domestic funds remain more cautious.

The IBW edition of the Cardano Hackathon Asia 2025 offered startup teams a platform to transform their ideas into impactful, ready-to-launch projects. Approximately 400 developers participated in person. The hackathon featured a total prize pool of $65,000 and provided guidance from expert builders within the Cardano ecosystem to assist startup teams throughout the process.

IBW Demo Day Showcases Innovation
The IBW Demo Day, held on the second day of the conference and sponsored by Aptos, Avalanche, Polygon, 0G, Coinswitch, and NS.com, featured ten startups presenting their innovations to investors, entrepreneurs, and media. Hashed Emergent committed an investment of $530,000. Pandora Exchange, a comprehensive trading hub for all DeFi needs, was recognized as the winner. Additionally, 0G Labs awarded a $6,000 grant to Kodeus and a $4,000 grant to Grovio.ai during the event.
