IBM and Dfns Announce "Digital Asset Haven"
IBM and Dfns have officially announced the launch of "Digital Asset Haven," a new platform designed to offer comprehensive digital asset management, compliance, and custody solutions. This platform is being developed to meet the rigorous standards expected by traditional financial systems and is slated for availability by the end of 2025. IBM's advanced technology will be integrated to significantly enhance security, incorporating features such as Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), and quantum-safe encryption.
Dfns has a proven track record, having already created 15 million wallets for over 250 clients. The "Digital Asset Haven" platform aims to facilitate the seamless integration of digital assets into mainstream financial systems. It is intended to empower enterprises to transition effectively from pilot projects to full-scale production environments. IBM plans to offer flexible deployment options, starting with Software as a Service (SaaS) and hybrid SaaS models. An on-premises deployment option is expected to become available by mid-2026.
"For digital assets to be integrated into core banking and capital markets systems, the underlying infrastructure must meet the same standards as traditional financial rails. Together with IBM, we've built a platform that goes beyond custody to orchestrate the full digital asset ecosystem, paving the way for digital assets to move from pilot programs to production at a global scale." — Clarisse Hagège, CEO, Dfns
The announcement has generated initial positive reactions from both the financial and technology sectors, with expectations of increased adoption of compliant digital asset services.

The integration of advanced encryption techniques, such as quantum-safe encryption, by platforms like "Digital Asset Haven" marks a significant development in the security of financial systems. This advancement is particularly noteworthy given the initial application of quantum encryption in financial systems back in 2018.
