Google Finance Integrates Prediction Markets for Enhanced Economic Forecasting
Google has announced a major upgrade to Google Finance, integrating prediction markets data from Polymarket and Kalshi to give users deeper, real-time insights into future economic and financial events.
The update, part of Google’s broader AI-powered overhaul of Google Finance, marks a significant step in merging crowd-based forecasting with traditional market analysis.
The integration allows users to query future-focused questions directly within Google Finance, such as “What will U.S. GDP growth be in 2025?” and receive instant insights showing current market probabilities and how those forecasts have shifted over time.
By leveraging data from Kalshi, a regulated U.S. exchange for event-based contracts, and Polymarket, a leading blockchain-powered prediction market, Google aims to combine the “wisdom of the crowds” with advanced AI analysis.
The move reflects Google’s ambition to make financial information more interactive, data-driven, and predictive.
Instead of relying solely on analyst projections or historical charts, users can now access collective market sentiment on key economic indicators, elections, corporate earnings, and geopolitical risks, all within the familiar Google Finance interface.
These new insights are supported by Google’s Gemini AI models, which analyze, contextualize, and visualize probability data alongside market trends. The result is an AI-enhanced financial platform that offers not just information, but forward-looking context drawn from real-world market expectations.
The Polymarket and Kalshi integration is rolling out over the coming weeks, starting with users who have opted into the Google Labs experiment.
It complements other new features, such as Deep Search, which uses Gemini’s reasoning capabilities to deliver comprehensive, cited responses to complex financial questions, and an AI-powered earnings experience that provides real-time insights during corporate earnings calls.
Google says the addition of prediction market data represents “a new layer of intelligence” in Google Finance, one that helps users see how the world is collectively betting on tomorrow’s economy.
