In the case of Bitcoin (BTC), the user amount is approximately 18,536.99 BTC, and the amount in the Gate reserve is 24,833 BTC. It leaves the excess reserve ratio at 33.96, which is marginally greater than the 33.48%. Gate has over twice as much BTC in its wallet compared to the sum of user deposits, a positive indicator for traders.
In the case of Ethereum (ETH), users hold 332,801.81 ETH, whereas Gate’s reserve is 419,096 ETH, representing a healthy excess of 25.93%. This represents a 23.58% increase from the previous report. It indicates that Gate is ready to maintain surplus reserves in line with security.
Stablecoins and Other Assets
The Gate Q3-2025 report also pointed to its USDT (Tether) reserves. User balances rose from 1.01 billion to 1.33 billion USDT, while Gate’s reserves increased from 1.28 billion to 1.58 billion USDT. It gives an excess reserve ratio of 18.74%, ensuring users that their stablecoin deposits are fully backed.

The ratios of other assets were also impressive. GT (GateToken) recorded a reserve ratio of 150.98, DOGE registered 108.12, and XRP registered 116.66, which is very much higher than a 100 percent ratio.
