The crypto market often reacts to headlines, but subtle technical signals such as a death cross can reveal deeper trends. XRP is currently showing signs that many investors may overlook. These patterns could foreshadow a pivotal move.

In a recent video posted on his X handle, Steph Is Crypto highlighted what he described as “an extremely powerful signal” that is right now flashing on XRP’s chart. This signal predicts exactly what we should expect right now.

He stated, “I want to show you the most important metrics. I will also show you something regarding HBAR if you hold HBAR. Pay attention to this chart; this is very important.” Steph’s analysis draws from historical patterns and technical indicators that often signal market turning points.

Reassessing the Death Cross

Steph focuses on the recent intersection of the 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages on the daily chart. He explains, “What is important is to focus on these crosses where this green line crosses with the Red line, and that is what we call a death cross, typically speaking perceived as a bearish signal, but in fact, this is usually a bullish signal.”

He emphasized that similar patterns in 2017 and 2020 coincided with major XRP lows. In his words, “in 2017, the death cross appeared at the bear market low, preceding a strong rally. In March 2020, it marked the market low before XRP surged in the following weeks”.

Steph observes, “This is, historically speaking, either a local bottom or a bear market bottom. So, this is a very powerful and important signal to pay attention to.” The recent death cross, he notes, occurred “the day before yesterday or so,” indicating a potentially similar setup.

Historical Patterns and Three-Day RSI

Steph also highlights the three-day chart and the Relative Strength Index (RSI). He states, “If you look at the three-day time frame for XRP, you can see the RSI just broke out, just like the daily time frame. We broke this downward resistance line, and the past few times that this happened led to a significant rally here for XRP.”

He recalls prior breakouts that led to nearly 600% gains in November and a 90% rally at the end of March 2025. For HBAR, Steph adds, “HBAR is also getting very close to this RSI breakout on the three-day time frame, historically, a precursor to what is about to come for the price action, somewhat of a Crystal ball indicator you could say.”

Supply Zones and Weekly Moving Average

Steph explains the importance of weekly moving averages and concentrated purchase levels. He notes that XRP is trading below the 50-week simple moving average. “A lot of people recently bought XRP around $2.50 to $2.54, and this 1.5 billion of supply actually in this level perfectly coincides with the 50-week simple moving averages,” he says.

He emphasizes that a weekly close above $2.55 is required to confirm a bullish reversal. “By the end of this Sunday, the upcoming Sunday, we would need to close above $2.55 to confirm a possible bullish reversal,” Steph adds. Failing to reach this level may maintain a cautious outlook.

Implications for Traders

Steph frames the death cross, RSI breakout, and supply levels as interconnected signals. While the death cross is usually bearish, his analysis suggests it may indicate a bottoming phase. This could present a buying opportunity.

He concludes, “I believe this could be a very lucrative buying opportunity or moment to hold XRP, not a moment to sell.” Investors should monitor the weekly close around $2.55 and the continuation of RSI momentum.
