Nigerian legal tech platform, Case Radar, has announced that its AI‑powered model can now access legal documents outside Nigeria and auto‑update. This is part of the move to expand the AI’s ability and provide an array of information to its users.
One thing that defines the platform’s originality is its AI incorporation, which was trained using Nigerian laws. As the first tech legal generative AI platform in Africa, the startup is assuring reliability and offering the capacity to provide accurate Information for its users.
According to the CEO and Co‑founder, Agbo Obinnaya, the upgrade evolved from users’ requests and the need to upscale the AI tool. With the latest addition, the AI can now autonomously update itself and access external internet sources to retrieve information that falls outside its existing bank.
Since it started operating a year ago, Case Radar has positioned itself as a go‑to place for legal interpretation. The platform is built to bridge the knowledge gap between the common man and the legal system while helping lawyers (especially those in early career) to scale their profession.
Agbo said that the AI‑powered chatbot can now answer questions beyond the Nigerian legal system. This means that aside from its ability to deliver content on hard‑to‑access documents, it can now combine local focus, external in‑depth, and dynamic adaptability.
“What we did was to expand our system to avoid depending on limited data. Our system can now update itself automatically and also access the internet. This update is a movement towards going beyond the Nigerian legal system, but we are taking things one step at a time,” he told Technext.
While Case Radar is poised to bridge the gap between legal document accessibility and affordability, the new upgrade elevates that. With its auto‑update ability, the AI can now fetch verified legal sources online when a prompt falls beyond its primary source.
In addition, the adjustment means that it can now adapt to change, stay current and provide relevant security information for individuals, students and lawyers.
Case Radar’s blueprint for expansion beyond Nigeria
While Nigeria is its launch base, Agbo and his co‑founder, Ngwu AnthonyMark, have the vision to expand Case Radar’s operations across Africa and beyond. But the process to get there is a strategic one that will be taken one step at a time.
For the platform, laying a solid foundation is essential for such pivotal expansion. This stems from building a solid footprint in Nigeria and gaining users’ trust before taking steps to incorporate legal documents from other African countries.
“We do not want to scale beyond the Nigerian market yet. We want to dominate this market first before expanding further,” Agbo told Technext.
In addition, he noted that the latest upgrade isn’t an indication that Case Radar is set for ‘beyond Nigeria’, and it doesn’t have the capacity to start catering for users outside Nigeria yet. However, he confirmed that the latest addition is a move that would eventually aid expansion.
“We are also building a gaming app that is focused on a global user base. It should be ready by November, and we are looking to launch it by January 2026. With that, we can expand our platform to start catering to users outside Nigeria,” he added.
A large percentage of Case Radar’s upgrades and additions have come from users’ feedback and reviews, which have helped in strengthening expectations. This shows that the platform is positioning itself to place users’ seamless experience as a priority.
As of July 2025, Case Radar has onboarded over 2,000 users and 10,000+ court documents that have never been on the internet. It has also created an online presence for both young and qualified lawyers to scale their practice. With this, it helps users interpret legal documents and connect them with lawyers, all on the platform.
