BNB Chain has recorded approximately $20.5 billion in trading volume, surpassing Solana's $12.7 billion on Oct. 8. The surge comes as memecoins inspired by Changpeng Zhao dominate trading dashboards across the ecosystem.
The rally started with the token 4, which references CZ's famous “fourth” resolution from 2023 about blocking fear and doubt while focusing on building. The token reached a market cap of around $250 million within days of launch, sparking a wave of similar projects.
BSC, which shares its ticker with Binance Smart Chain, surged approximately 33,000 % according to DEXScreener data. A clone of the token launched on Oct. 7 and climbed another 15,000 % by the following day. Another token, 币安人生, also jumped roughly 15,000 % during the same period.
Data from Bubblemaps indicates that around 70 % of BNB meme‑coin traders are in profit. The unusually high ratio suggests concentrated insider participation, with one trader making over $10 million and 40 others earning more than $1 million each.
Among standout performers, PALU jumped 2,246 % while PUP surged nearly 200 % in 24 hours. SZN rallied 5,600 % to reach a $14 million market cap. The combined trading volume for multiple tokens exceeded $335 million across decentralized exchanges.
Nineteen of the top 20 trending coins tracked by DEXScreener over six hours were on BNB Chain. More than 100,000 on‑chain traders bought into the latest crop of tokens, with approximately 6,000 making at least $10,000 in profits.
Marwan Kawadri, DeFi lead at BNB Chain, noted the ecosystem has always been strong in DeFi but is now becoming the heartbeat of on‑chain trading. He added that new cryptocurrency trends may gain traction faster because the community is built around trading culture.
The three largest cryptocurrencies purchased by smart‑money traders tracked on Nansen's blockchain intelligence platform were all BNB native tokens. The shift in liquidity suggests retail attention is flowing toward the ecosystem as volume numbers significantly surpass historical leaders in meme activity.
