As of 12:00 AM KST on October 25, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 165.16 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, marking a 0.91% increase from the previous day. On the global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 158.68 million KRW. This difference resulted in a price gap of 6.48 million KRW, contributing to a Kimchi Premium of 4.09%.
Altcoin Premiums in the Korean Market
Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, also exhibited a significant premium, recording a Kimchi Premium of 4.17%. Other major altcoins displayed notable premiums as well: Solana (SOL) at 4.15%, XRP (XRP) at 4.08%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 4.06%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 3.77%. Currently, most of the top altcoins are trading with premiums falling within the 3.7% to 4.1% range.
