The CaptainAltcoin team has released a new video that’s gaining traction across the crypto community. The video breaks down Bitcoin’s halving cycle patterns and argues that the next major market top could appear before November 2025 – a theory that now looks even more relevant as Bitcoin just hit a new all-time high of $125,559.21.
According to the video, Bitcoin is now more than 530 days past its last halving, which occurred in April 2024. Historically, this has been the stage in the cycle when the market begins to slow down or peak. The analysis draws from data shared by João Wedson on X, who compared Bitcoin’s previous post-halving rallies.
In past cycles, Bitcoin peaked 371 days after the 2012 halving, 525 days after the 2016 event, and 546 days following the 2020 halving. If the same pattern holds, Wedson’s model places the next top between day 548 and day 561, which aligns with the final days of October and the first few days of November 2025.
At the time of the video’s release, Bitcoin had already climbed to around $124,000, and the host suggested that this could have marked the cycle’s high point. But with the price now pushing past that level to set a fresh record at $125,559.21, the question becomes – is this the true top, or is there still one last explosive rally ahead?
“If we compare this cycle to 2012 and 2016, it wouldn’t surprise me if the top is already in,” the host said. “Those cycles peaked almost exactly where we are now in terms of days after halving – or even earlier. History doesn’t repeat perfectly, but it often rhymes.”
The CaptainAltcoin team also explained how their strategy has shifted as the cycle matures. While still holding a small amount of Bitcoin, they now see more upside potential in altcoins like Ethereum and Solana, expecting capital rotation as Bitcoin’s momentum cools.
“Bitcoin is still the king of crypto,” the host said, “but if the top is close, the real opportunity could be in rotating into alts before the market fully cools down.”
