CZ, Binance’s founder, immediately confirmed the BNB Chain X Hack. He warned everyone to stay vigilant and not connect wallets to any sites, no exceptions.
What Happened?
The hack targeted the official English X (formerly Twitter) account of BNB Chain. Hackers placed phishing links to lure users into linking their crypto wallets. Security researchers suspect the Inferno Drainer collective is behind the links, stealing money by impersonating decentralized apps (dApps). The goal was to get users to click, connect, and lose their assets.

The BNB Chain X account hack prompted Binance to act hastily. The team warned users on X about the intrusion and requested that they shut down the account to prevent further harm. They also filed takedown requests for the phishing domains. Binance confirmed that the hack only affected its social media account, while the blockchain and user funds stayed safe.
