Funding Round Overview
Accountable, a company establishing a new standard for real-time financial verification, has successfully raised $7.5 million in a funding round. The round was led by Pantera Capital, with significant participation from OKX Ventures, Onigiri Capital, KPK, and Auros, among other investors.
This capital infusion is earmarked for expanding Accountable's team to address increasing institutional demand, accelerating the development of its Data Verification Network (DVN), and supporting the launch of institutional-grade products. These products include advanced Proof of Reserves and Vault-as-a-Service offerings.
Addressing the Need for Real-Time Solvency Verification
The growth of onchain borrowing, which has surpassed $41 billion this year according to Galaxy Research, highlights the rapid scaling of lending volumes. However, recent market events, such as the USDe depeg, have exposed the inherent structural risks within this growth. The current market infrastructure lacks real-time visibility into solvency, often relying on delayed audits and self-reported data, which prove inadequate under stress.
Accountable aims to bridge this critical gap by providing an advanced Proof of Reserves framework. This framework enables real-time verification of assets and liabilities without compromising sensitive private strategies or API keys.
Industry Perspectives on Accountable's Innovation
“Every major failure in crypto finance from Celsius to FTX shared one flaw: no way to verify solvency in real time. Recent market turbulence underscored the same point. Proof-of-Reserves is a strong start but institutions need full visibility into both assets and liabilities. Accountable has built that missing layer. Less than two years in, it’s already verifying over billion dollars in assets. We believe it will become the standard that institutions adopt as naturally as HTTPS became standard for the internet,” said Nihal Maunder, Partner at Pantera Capital.
“The black-box era is over. From now on, capital will move on proof, not promises. With this funding, we’re scaling the engineering and partnerships needed to make continuous verification a default in markets from tokenized treasuries to trading strategies and to advance our Proof of Reserves framework that verifies solvency in real time. That’s how we turn transparency into the new standard for global finance,” said Wojtek Pawlowski, Co-founder & CEO, Accountable.
“We see Accountable as pioneering the future of how financials are verified in real-time. This capability has growing relevance not only for blockchain-native companies, but also incumbents who want trustworthy verification instantly. Accountable’s approach brings the benefits of blockchain into financial services, setting the foundation for greater institutional adoption,” said Qin En Looi, Managing Partner, Onigiri Capital.
“At OKX Ventures, we invest in infrastructure that makes institutional adoption possible at scale. What stands out with Accountable is not only the technology but how it translates into practical systems like advanced Proof of Reserves framework and Vault-as-a-Service. That combination turns verification from a compliance box into a driver of capital efficiency, a building block for under-collateralized lending, tokenized credit and the broader integration of real-world assets onchain,” Dora Yue, Founder, OKX Ventures added.
Traction and Future Developments
Since its launch two years ago, Accountable's Data Verification Network (DVN) has successfully verified over $1 billion in assets for clients and partners, including prominent financial institutions like Galaxy, Amber Group, and K3 Capital. The company is actively expanding its integrations to encompass structured credit strategies, stablecoins, and onchain treasuries. Furthermore, Accountable is collaborating with fund administrators to embed continuous verification into their operational workflows.
The company anticipates rapid scaling of volumes as real-time verification becomes an increasingly essential requirement across institutional markets.
Previous Funding and Product Launches
This latest funding round follows Accountable's $2.3 million seed round in 2024. It also comes shortly after the company launched the YieldApp testnet in September 2025. Built upon Accountable's DVN, YieldApp functions as the premier marketplace for verifiable yield, identifying opportunities from borrowers, trading desks, and structured credit providers. The company is preparing for its mainnet launch in Q4 2025, aiming to capture a substantial market where all yield opportunities are inherently verifiable.
About Accountable
Accountable is pioneering the new standard for real-time financial verification, empowering institutions to prove their assets and liabilities privately. Designed for both traditional and crypto-native markets, the platform enables counterparties to demonstrate financial health without disclosing sensitive information such as API keys, wallet addresses, or trading strategies. The core of Accountable is its Data Verification Network (DVN), a privacy-preserving system facilitating real-time proof of both onchain and offchain activities. Leveraging DVN, Accountable offers Vault-as-a-Service for structuring and managing onchain capital, and YieldApp, the first marketplace built on DVN, which surfaces verifiable yield opportunities.
